Emilio Bordona Soriano, President of InterWay agency, which celebrated its 45th anniversary last year, has been confirmed as the new President of ASEPROCE. He replaces Pablo Martinez de Velasco , who has stepped down after three years of leading the association.
“I’m very grateful and honoured to have been chosen as president of ASEPROCE for the next four years, and also thankful for the new Executive Committee that is now being launched,” Emilio said in a statement on Linkedin.
He will be joined by on the Board of Directors by Norman Bonnail of Global Link Idiomas , who will serve as Vice-President for the next term.
The Board will be completed by Belen Diez of Newlan – International as Secretary, Borja Ortega of TEAM up! Education as Treasurer, and other Board members: Montse Guardiola , Kblanguage ; Carmen Navarro , Leaders; Sabina De los Reyes , Learning for Life Education ; Enrique Leon , Aston Herencia ; and Chema Higes , Welcome Languages .
Former President Juan Manuel Elizalde also serves as an advisor to the Board.
Following the elections at the Annual General Meeting, which was held in Vigo last week, ASEPROCE thanked the outgoing President and Board for their efforts.
“This Assembly closed the term of office of a Committee that has done an excellent job in consolidating and strengthening ASEPROCE as an association, promoting its institutional positioning, and reinforcing the commitment to quality and excellence in our activity,” the association said.
“At the same time, we welcomed a new Committee, which begins this stage with renewed energy and new ideas to continue advancing and reaching new milestones for the benefit of all associates, as well as the new members who join ASEPROCE and who, from now on, are an active part of our community.”
In addition to the Board, the full-time General Secretariat, which is responsible for implementing the association’s activities and ensuring the achievement of its objectives, is formed by: Cristina Rivaya as Secretary General; Simone Cruz (Executive Assistant); and Maria Calleja (Legal & Institutional Advisor).
Established in 1987, ASEPROCE represents more than 70 agencies, is a member of the Federation of Education and Language Consultant Associations ( Felca) and was inducted into the StudyTravel Super Star Hall of Fame in 2021 after winning the ST Star Agency Association category of the StudyTravel Star Awards for a fifth time.
