Canada has 42 national parks and reserves, located the length and breadth of the country. A multicultural nation, Canada is home to people from all over the world. Modern-day Canada is culturally diverse, a fact reflected in its great gift for innovation, expressed through its fresh and exciting creative output.

It is a welcoming country boasting an open and tolerant society and inhabited by warm, friendly people. Canada is rated one of the ten best places in the world to live by the United Nations and the Economist Intelligence Unit. The country scored particularly well in the UN survey for its access to education, high life expectancy and low levels of crime and violence. Cities such as Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto are also recognised as ideal places in which to live and work, thanks to their safe, clean environments, and the cultural activities and attractive lifestyles they offer.
